MARK BLUMBERG
Mark is responsible for the firm’s investment process and business development. He has 40 years of experience investing in equities, currencies, fixed income securities and commodities at both an institutional and individual level. Prior to founding Blumberg Advisors in 2012, Mark was a portfolio manager at Blenheim Capital, a global investment firm. He was responsible for managing a financial portfolio investing in fixed income, currencies and equities. He began his professional career in South Africa, in the investment division at Eagle Insurance Company and later as a member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He moved to the USA in 1986 and has since worked in the securities division of Shearson Lehman, his own firm for 12 years and later at Societe General.
Mark has an MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics Majors) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
GABI BLUMBERG
Gabi is responsible for Blumberg Advisors’ ESG strategy. She is an impact investment professional with 15 years of experience across London and New York. Most recently she served as Managing Director of Products at JUST Capital, a research firm that tracks the behavior of the nation's largest companies across ESG issues. In this role she was responsible for translating research into tools for investors, consumers and corporations. Prior to this she held roles at several impact investing firms, including the CREO Syndicate (a network of qualified family offices, private investors and advisors focused on investing for positive environmental impact) and Investing for Good (an impact investment intermediary focused on mobilizing institutional capital into impact investments). Gabi began her career in the Global Markets division at Deutsche Bank NY, where she worked on the Foreign Exchange institutional sales team.
Gabi has an MPA from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from NYU.
